About the Author

D. R. Wells, a native North Carolinian, joined the US Air Force immediately after graduating from high school. His first assignment took him to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he met and married the love of his life, Sharon. He applied for and was granted a commission in the Air Force Medical Service Corps after ten years in the enlisted ranks, retiring as a Major with 23 years of service.

Following that, he spent 16 years working for a multinational medical company before exiting to pursue his dream of bringing to life the stories that have consumed his mind since childhood.

As the father of two daughters and the grandfather of a granddaughter, he is acutely aware of the challenges women face in our society and is a fervent advocate for equality, not just for women, but for all people. David resides in the Raleigh area with Sharon and their dog, Willow.
